Add a Touch of Lace to Your Vintage Nursery Design
Out with the old, and in with the new! Usually, that’s a saying that brings to mind the idea of a shopping spree for a new wardrobe or maybe even a new car. But in the world of nurseries, old is a good thing. In fact, making the old new just may be the look you’ve been searching for in your new little one’s nursery.
When the word vintage comes up, visions of soft colors and rustic old pieces of furniture come to mind. The great thing about going for a vintage nursery design means you can find the perfect addition to your nursery practically anywhere, maybe even that old dresser from Granny’s house! You can take that simple wood dresser, add a pop of mint, soft pink or cream and with just a few coats of paint you’ve created a perfect changing table. Add a few wire baskets next to it along with a vintage white mirror or old 6-pane window and you’re set! To add an extra touch of the old, bring in some antique frames with delicate patterns that can be painted to make just the right statement on the wall.
