A designer from the group Sacramento Street created this beautiful space for her first child, so it's no surprise that the room is clean and minimal with a few whimsical touches like the super-mod mobile that'd feel just as home in a dining room as her baby's sophisticated nursery. Some subtle prints, all within the powder blue to white palate, add texture to the space. (We think these curtains from Caden Lane would look great in a room like this.)

There is so much to love about this gorgeous room! The mix of textiles is unexpected and stylish. Another simple mobile adorns the space above the crib, and the baby animal photo manages to be both adorable and sophisticated. I love being surprised in nursery design – I can only imagine whomever they purchased the Persian rug from would have never guessed it was going in the baby's room!

It was only a matter of time that luxe, dark-hued walls trending in bedroom design would make its way to the nursery, and this room does a fantastic job of bringing that trend into a baby-friendly space. Another "adult" rug lends sophistication to the room, and classic, wooden furniture completes the simple, classic space. So don't be afraid of elegance, moms-to-be, and give your baby a sophisticated nursery they can grow into for years to come.
