You’ve gotten the sonogram confirming you’re expecting a little bundle of joy. You’ve had the morning sickness and cravings. You’re well into your second trimester and finally feeling a little more energetic. Now, comes one of the really fun parts! The nursery! For some, it may be the easiest decision they’ll make during the whole “getting ready for baby process.” But for others, it may seem like the most daunting task at hand. What you need in that case is a little nursery inspiration
. I know for me, I found one thing I liked and just like that, the dream of my nursery just unfolded before me!
One amazing source of inspiration is a great quilt. Yes, it’s ok, you don’t always have to have that traditional baby-bedding look. In fact, a quilt can be just the right inspiration you’re looking for. Quilts use multiple fabrics and colors creating a unique color pallet for you, and Caden Lane's baby quilts
use fabrics from their baby bedding so it makes it extra easy to choose other pieces for the nursery. All of their baby quilts are super cute but for now, let me just mention two. For a sweet little princess, try Claire's Coral and Mint Quilt
. It has a perfect blend of colors, mixing coral with some pops of mint. Plus, it has a beautiful butterfly print to tie it all together. For a handsome little guy, try Noah’s Navy and Gray Baby Quilt
. You can never go wrong with either of those two colors and navy is a perfect classic look for any boy nursery. Once you have a quilt picked out, take it with you shopping to find great accessory and décor pieces to highlight those great colors and to finish out your perfect nursery.

For me, my nursery inspiration
was finding some wall décor that I just fell in love with. From there, creating the rest of the nursery and even finding colors and bedding to coordinate was the easy part. Try Etsy, Pinterest or the aisles of Hobby Lobby for some great wall décor options that may be just the thing you are looking for.

Last but not least, another way to find nursery inspiration
could be lingering in a place you’d never even guess... You! What do you like to do? What are your hobbies? What do you love? For me, I love travelling (even though it’s a little harder to do these days with a toddler in tow). I ended up finding nursery wall art that had a travel theme. The rest is history. Do you love the beach? Try a beachy or nautical theme. Did you play a sport growing up? A vintage sport nursery could be a great look! Is yellow your favorite color (it's mine!)? Then use yellow as the foundation to your little one’s nursery.
