If you’re having a baby girl, then the color pink has crossed your mind. While it is the traditional “girl” color, it can be just as updated and modern as any other girly hue… hi there, coral! The key to making a pink nursery modern is in choosing the right furniture and accent colors. While soft pink and gray are a great, sweet combination, it’s definitely a more traditional route. For a more modern pink nursery try mixing different shades of pink with other bright accents. One of our favorite color combinations is pink and aqua. The mix between the soft pink and taupe, and the bright pink and aqua in our Riley’s Rose crib bedding collection creates a perfect example of pink bedding that can inspire a modern pink nursery. Add in another accent color of mint to the nursery, which pulls out the green from the floral pattern, and you’ve got yourself a pink nursery that’s more than just a “girly” pink room.
You also don’t need to be afraid to go bright with pink. Bright colors often update a space and make it feel more modern. Just be sure to balance the brightness with some neutrals in the room. If you have a bright pink paint color in mind try painting one accent wall, a geometric pattern, or if you go for the whole room be sure to hang more neutral or darker wall art throughout the space. Here’s one of our favorite modern pink nursery ideas for bright pink walls:
